INSTRUCTIONS

Go out into the garden or park or forest, and build a miniature village out of the things you find there.

At first this wee task may seem trite, and you may sense resistance to doing it, whether it’s thinking that the weather isn’t great or that the project feels simplistic. Ignore those thoughts. Just have some fun making those houses and roads and bridges and hydro stations. It’s as important an activity as painting a large canvas or carving a marble sculpture because it will remind you what it is to be completely involved in an activity for that activity’s sake. So wind, rain, or shine, get your head down and get out there and enjoy yourself like you did when you were eight years old.
